About Inky Plate

Hi, welcome to Inky Plate! 

I'm Karl-Peter Penke, an artist who does lots of stuff, but Inky Plate is where I sell my etchings and other original prints.

I love drawing and the process of making plates, printing them (it’s an inky business), and then sending them off into the world to hang in private and public collections.

So, my credentials: I studied at Chelsea College of Art & Design, Camberwell College of Arts, the Royal Drawing School and the Royal College of Art. I have a studio in the east of London, and work part-time as an intaglio and printmaking technical-tutor at the RCA and UCA – which I love because I get to be in the thick of action with young and aspiring printmakers.
